Bocce Court Pro Oyster Shell 2,000 Pound - Bulk
Oyster Shell
Bocce Ball courts are covered with a 3 inch playing surface. There are few very popular methods for doing this;
1. A mixture of oyster shell 75% and 25% oyster shell flour
( this method very difficult and requires a lot of work over months to get compacted )
2. Pure oyster shell flour ( this method is the most difficult and requires a lot of work over months to get compacted )
3. A blended mixture of oyster shell, oyster shell flour and decomposed granite. The rate is typically 1 ton of blended material per 100 per square feet. This is most attractive and economical and least difficult to install of the three oyster shell material surfaces.

Oyster Flour
After, and that is the key point since there is a great deal of confusion on this, the installation of the oyster shell and D. G. blend playing surface a layer of finely crushed oyster shell flour is often applied. This is done at the rate 1/4 to 1/2 pound per square foot.

Features
  • Bocce Court Pro Oyster Shell Mixing Ratio;
    The mixing ratio of oyster shell to decomposed granite or crushed stone fines is
    1 ton of Bocce Court Oyster Shell to
    3 tons of Decomposed Granite 1/4 " Minus - Wet Climate Blend
    4 tons of Decomposed Granite 1/4" Minus - Dry Climate Blend
    .
    The square foot coverage per ton of gravel will vary slightly with the surface and designs of the project, waste etc. will affect area coverage. The information is based on average ton and cubic yard amounts. This decorative building stone has naturally occurring colors and shade variations. These are what gives this stone the natural beauty and uniqueness that causes its appeal. Color tones change can sometimes occur with aging or maintenance practices of the location it is installed at therefore exact matching of existing stone may not always occur. During processing or transportation dust will adhere to the rocks and change its appearance on arrival but we guarantee all stone to be true to the specific brand name, type and size ordered or complete exchange including transportation costs will be made.

    After installation is completed the rock should be rinsed off to show the natural beauty and character.
